How Branding gonna help you make more money

Wherever we are, we are constantly bombarded with images, whether is with street ads, restaurant menus, product packaging, and most recently, social media. Brands started investing much more in social media with the beginning of the COVID19 pandemic, because at that time it was the only way to reach their audience. They began to post their product in a variety of ways, sharing their behind-the-scenes, all to capture their customer's attention and relate to them in a more empathetic way.

Everything around us is constantly fighting for our attention. And image is the queen here! Text has its important role of course, and the quality of the product/service too obviously. But what captivates us is the image...our eyes always “eat” first, don't they? How many times have you ever made a decision based only on the image/presentation of a brand? or because it had a really nice packaging that captivated you?

No matter how much better your product/service is than your competitor's. It's your image, your appearance, your presentation that makes you stand out...in other words it’s your Branding! From the moment you capture your customer's attention and make them stay, the road to sale is much faster.

The choice between your brand or another is a matter of seconds

Let's take a practical example? All of us, at one time or another, have looked for Wally.

From the game “Where’s Wally?”

But now let me make it a little easier for you.

That made it easier didn't it?

We have a lot of noise around us, and now in a digital age, you need to stand out more than ever for your customer to find you. You have to make yourself visible to him.

Of course you can stand out in the wrong way or in the right way. And this is where the work on your brand can lead to you making a good or bad impression.

And the first impression is the most important one, because it is always the one that stays and it is based on it that you make some decisions. But with the amount of information we are bombarded with every day, our brain had to shorten the time it takes to make those decisions. And in order to be faster he has to base himself on what we can receive first, which is the image. Shortened to precisely 7 seconds...you have 7 seconds to make a good first impression.

What happens in those 7 seconds?

In those 7 seconds, your brand has to:

  • Capture your customer's attention

  • Make them curious about your brand and want to know more

  • Persuade him that your brand has what it takes to solve his problem

  • Show him that you are worth every penny

With the large supply on the market today, your product may already exist on the market, but how are you going to stand out and reach your customer? And you tell me: “Oh but Tania, my product/service is better than my competitor's!” Yes? Great, but how is your customer going to know that in 7 seconds? He won't. First you have to captivate him, so he can choose you in that first selection, and then yes, it will be the quality of your product/service and the customer experience that will make him stay.

If you look at this picture, which soda pops out at you? Here at home it was Coca-Cola. The branding of Coca-Cola is so iconographic that it grabs your attention regardless of the competition. Today it’s obviously not only the branding that makes it one of the most chosen beverages by consumers, but it was with its specific shade of red and calligraphic logo that it all started.

Imagine your product/service on a shelf, with so many others like it. How can you make it stand out? It is time for your brand image to match the quality of your product/service.

More sales = more money

If you combine all the above factors: capturing the attention of your audience, having a quality product, and working on the customer experience, you have everything in your favor to have more sales and therefore more money. And it all started with branding. Your image and the way you present yourself works not only to catch the attention of your audience, but also to position yourself, so that in those brief seconds your audience can get a good first impression of you.

What seemed to you, at the beginning of this article, to be just a secondary thing, just an image/logo, no longer seems to be just that, does it? If you want to start building your brand in the right way, so that it reflects the potential and quality of your brand and captures the attention of your audience, let’s talk.
